Please read this page carefully. It explains how Northwaite offers this website and how we handle the information you choose to share. It is written for patients, families, and other visitors. It is not an emergency notice and it is not a personal care plan.

1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Services govern your use of the Northwaite website, including the home page, about pages, clinician profiles, journal, appointment request form, pricing information, contact form, subscribe form, unsubscribe form, and any related page we publish. By browsing, reading, or sending a form, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please leave the site and do not submit information.
Northwaite provides planned health-care conversations and educational writing. The website is the front door to that work. It is not itself a clinic room, a monitoring service, or an emergency line. Nothing on these pages creates a duty to respond in real time.
We may update these terms when our services, forms, or explanations change. The date at the bottom of the page shows the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change is substantial, we will also describe it near the top of this page for a reasonable period.
2. Who we are
Northwaite is a health-care practice focused on unhurried visits, plain-language explanations, and written follow-up. The website introduces our clinicians, describes how appointments are requested, outlines planning fees, and publishes general education in the journal.
References to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Northwaite. References to “you” mean the person using the website, whether you are reading for yourself, for a child in your care, or for another adult who asked you to help. If you submit information about someone else, you confirm that you are allowed to do so and that the other person knows you are contacting us.
You can reach the care desk through the contact form or at hello@northwaite.com. We do not publish a telephone number or a street location on this website. Arrangements for a visit are confirmed in writing.
3. Nature of the website
The pages, portraits, articles, fee guides, and forms are provided so you can understand Northwaite and ask for a conversation. They are not a promise that a particular clinician is free at a particular moment, that a particular test will be ordered, or that a particular outcome will follow.
Clinician profiles describe how each doctor likes to work. They are introductions, not advertisements of guaranteed results. A profile does not mean that doctor is the right person for every problem that sounds similar to the examples given.
Journal articles are general education. They may discuss blood pressure patterns, preventive visits, everyday meals, the reading of results, family routines, sleep, and recovery. They do not know your history. They must not be used to start, stop, or change a medicine, to interpret your own report in isolation, or to decide that a symptom can wait.
Pricing pages are planning guides. The fee for a real visit is confirmed by email before the visit is held. A figure on the website can change, and a visit that needs more time or a different service may be quoted differently before you accept.
4. Not an emergency service
Northwaite does not provide emergency department care through this website. Do not use any form, email address, or journal article for chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, collapse, heavy bleeding, a seizure, a serious allergic reaction, thoughts of immediate self-harm, or any other problem you believe could be life-threatening.
If you may be experiencing an emergency, contact your local emergency service immediately and follow the instructions you are given there. Waiting for a reply from a website form can cause dangerous delay. Our forms are reviewed during working attention, not continuously overnight.
An “urgent review” option on the appointment form means you are asking for a sooner planned conversation about a worsening but non-emergency problem. Choosing that option does not dispatch a clinician to you, does not open a bedside monitor, and does not replace local emergency care.
Sunday requests are considered only as urgent review slots. They are still planned appointments, not an emergency response.
5. When a care relationship begins
Reading the website, subscribing to Care Notes, or sending a contact message does not by itself create a clinician–patient relationship. A relationship for a particular concern begins only when a visit is confirmed and you attend, or when we expressly agree in writing to handle a defined request.
Until that point, information you send helps us decide whether and how to offer an appointment. It is not a consultation. We may decline a request, suggest a different clinician, or explain that the concern needs a service we do not provide.
If a relationship begins, the scope is the concern agreed for that visit or plan. It does not automatically cover every future question, every member of a household, or every report you later find in an inbox, unless a further visit or the Family Circle arrangement says so.
You may end a planned relationship by telling us in writing. We may end it if the relationship cannot safely continue, if communication repeatedly breaks the boundaries in these terms, or if a needed visit is not taken up after reasonable reminders. We will explain the reason when it is appropriate to do so.
6. Appointment requests
The appointment form asks for your name, email, department, preferred clinician, date, time of day, visit type, and a note about the concern. You must complete the required fields honestly. A request with a false identity, a borrowed email you cannot read, or a description that hides the real problem wastes time that another person needs.
Submitting the form is a request, not a booking. A coordinator replies by email with a proposed clinician, time, and fee. The visit is held only after that proposal is accepted. If you do not see a reply, check the spam folder and then use the contact form. Do not assume silence means the visit is reserved.
Arrive with the information you were asked to bring: medicines, recent readings, reports, and the questions you most want answered. If you need to change or cancel, reply to the confirmation as early as you can. Repeated late changes may require a new request so the schedule can be offered fairly.
Please do not record a visit secretly. If a recording would help you remember, ask at the start. Written summaries are the usual memory aid, and they are prepared for that reason.
Children and young people may be discussed by a parent or guardian. Bring the legal authority you have to consent to the conversation. Adults who want a companion in the room should say so. We will make a reasonable adjustment when we can, and we will say so when a clinical conversation needs to happen privately for part of the time.
7. Fees and care plans
Essential Visit, Complete Care, and Family Circle describe different shapes of planned care. Essential Visit is a single consultation with a written summary. Complete Care is a month of closer follow-up. Family Circle coordinates more than one person in a household. The comparison table on the pricing page is a guide to those shapes.
Fees are quoted in the confirmation email and are due on the basis described there. The website does not take payment. We will not ask you to send card numbers, bank passwords, or similar secrets through a website form. If a payment method is offered, it will be explained in the confirmation, not hidden in a journal article.
A quoted fee covers the described visit or plan. It may not cover every possible test, a different specialty, or an extended problem that was not mentioned when the time was reserved. If more is needed, we will say so before proceeding whenever that is practical.
If you do not attend a confirmed visit and you did not tell us in reasonable time, the reserved time may still be charged as described in the confirmation. We would rather rebook than argue, so early notice is the kindest route for everyone.
8. Acceptable use
Use the website for lawful, respectful purposes: learning about Northwaite, reading education, requesting a visit, subscribing, unsubscribing, or asking a genuine question. You may not use the site to harass clinicians or other visitors, to send malicious code, to probe the site for weaknesses, to scrape profiles for a competing directory, or to submit someone else’s information without a proper reason.
Do not upload or paste content you do not have the right to share. Do not send images of another person’s body or records unless you are entitled to share them for the care request and you understand they may be sensitive.
We may ignore, refuse, or remove a message that is abusive, irrelevant, or unsafe to store. We may also suspend form access that is being misused. Doing so is not a commentary on anyone’s health.
Automated requests, bots that submit forms, and attempts to overwhelm the care desk are not allowed. The forms are for people seeking care or information.
9. Health content and your judgment
Health information on Northwaite pages is prepared with care and reviewed for clarity, but medicine changes and individual situations differ. A sentence that is reasonable for one person can be wrong for another. Always place an article next to your own clinician’s advice rather than above it.
We do not guarantee that the journal is complete or that it mentions every risk. Absence of a warning is not approval. Presence of a suggestion is not an instruction. If an article and a clinician disagree, ask the clinician, because the clinician can see you and the article cannot.
Home measurements, including blood pressure, weight, temperature, and glucose, are tools. Bring patterns to a visit. Do not treat a single home number as a diagnosis, and do not use it to alter prescribed treatment unless the prescribing clinician has already told you how to do so.
Quotes on the website illustrate the kind of experience people describe. They are not promises that you will feel the same, and they are not reviews of an outcome we guarantee.
10. Intellectual property
The Northwaite name, the heart-and-pulse logo, page designs, original text, and the arrangement of this website belong to Northwaite or are used with permission. Clinician portraits and other photographs are used to present the practice and may not be copied for another clinic’s marketing.
You may share a link to a public page, and you may quote a short passage for personal or educational discussion if you credit Northwaite and do not imply that we endorse you. You may not copy pages wholesale, mirror the site, or reuse the logo as if it were your own mark.
If you believe something on the site infringes a right you hold, write through the contact form with the page address, a description of the concern, and a way to reply. We will review genuine notices.
11. Messages you send
Forms on this website are designed to be checked in your browser. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you type and for using an email inbox you actually open. We are not responsible for a missed reply caused by a mistyped address, a full mailbox, or a filter that hides our message.
Do not send passwords, full payment card numbers, or unnecessary copies of identity documents through the forms. Send the minimum that lets us answer the question or arrange the visit.
Care Notes are optional letters. Subscribing means you want those letters at the email you provide. Unsubscribing means you want them to stop. Appointment mail about a visit already in motion is different and may continue until that request is finished or cancelled.
12. Links and third parties
Pages may link to sharing tools so you can tell someone about Northwaite. Those tools are run by other organisations. Their pages have their own terms and privacy notices. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content or their practices.
A link is not an endorsement of every statement on the destination, and the absence of a link is not a criticism. If a linked page is unhelpful or has changed, tell us through the contact form.
13. Responsibility and limits
We work carefully, and we still need to describe the limits of a public website. To the extent permitted by the rules that apply to you, Northwaite is not liable for loss that arises only because you relied on a general article instead of a clinical visit, because you delayed emergency care while waiting for a form reply, or because you used the site in a way these terms forbid.
We do not exclude responsibility where the law does not allow us to, including responsibility that cannot legally be limited for personal injury caused by our negligence in a care relationship that has actually begun. Outside those duties, our responsibility for website use is limited to resupplying the information or, where a fee was paid for a website-related service that failed, refunding that fee.
We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including outages of your device, your email provider, or the network between us.
You are responsible for the decisions you make with information that was clearly described as general education. You are also responsible for keeping your own copies of summaries you receive.
14. Privacy
Personal information and health information are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. That policy is part of the way we work, and you should read it before sending a form. If these terms and the Privacy Policy both speak about a form, they are meant to be read together. The Privacy Policy controls on questions of personal information.
15. Changes, suspension, and survival
We may change, pause, or retire a page, a form, a fee guide, or a journal article. We may do so for clarity, safety, or because a service is no longer offered. An unfinished request already accepted in writing will be handled as that writing described, unless safety requires a different path, in which case we will explain.
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. Headings are for convenience and do not change the meaning of the sections.
Sections that by their nature should continue after you stop using the site — including intellectual property, limits of responsibility, and the emergency warning — continue to apply.
16. Questions about these terms
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact form. Please use a subject line that says “Terms” so the message is routed quickly. We will reply by email. This contact route is not a clinical consultation and not an emergency path.
These terms are the whole agreement about use of the website itself. A separate written confirmation governs a particular visit once you accept it. If that confirmation says something specific about time or fee, the confirmation wins for that visit, and these terms still govern the website and the boundaries around emergency use, conduct, and general content.
